Hey

Hey

A Poem by Emilia Cole

Hey there
"Umm..."
Heh...you're adorable
"T-thanks"
A-are you smiling right now?
"Uhh...y-yeah"
Well...you have a beautiful smile
"No...No I don't"
Yup...It's final you do have a beautiful smile
"Don't say that..."
Well why not?
"If I say no...then it's no"
Well I'd like to know why
"He said so..."
Who?
"Forget it!"
I'd like to know
"Why?"
So I can show them how a real man treats his girl
"What?"
You're perfect just the way you are babe

It just shows that some people may see one thing in one while the self may perceive something entirely different. This actually reminded of a moment when I was in school. I was (and still am) typically a loner, so at lunch I would sit alone. Then, a boy sat across from me. I thought nothing of him, though, he asked if I was scared. I reluctantly told him "no" and he explained that I carried a fearful disposition. It was odd because I don't feel legit "fear", I suppose in most cases... But, I apparently seemed afraid and that was open to others. The way we present ourselves may portray something we never knew showed. This person of who you speak of has a beautiful presence, not just a beautiful smile. Sometimes, it just takes one person to point it out and make that person realize how significant their existence is. Great job!

Reminds me of myself on a good day. I'd love to be more brave, though. Truly captures the essence of an actually useful desire.

I bet your amazing! :)
A brief story with a strong message Emilia Cole.
We often give weight to words of those who don't deserve it. This leads to us regarding the words of others as lesser words.
Good one.
