I've Heard it All Before.A Poem by Julia HollywoodI'm aware of the fact that this is hysterically awful.I've heard it all before. I've heard you whine and mope about all the things you hate. You're not thin, your hair is not right, And after school your dad is late.
"No one understands," you say. "No one will ever see." But have you thought to stop for just a second And take a good look at me?
You're not the girl you read about; You don't like who you are. But if you don't realize that you're lucky, You won't make it very far.
Don't waste your teenage years trying to sound mature and deep. You're only young once: Be happy. Be weak. Make the memeories you'll actually want to keep. © 2010 Julia HollywoodAuthor's Note
