The WallsA Poem by Julia HollywoodI'm aware of the fact that this is hysterically awful. The wall bleeds. My heart beats. It gets smaller, Closing in on me.
One day the walls will touch one another, The roof will cave in after. I don't scream, why bother? They hear nothing: no misery, no laughter.
And on that day, Though my heart stops beating, I know the walls will not stop bleeding.
And on that day, Some poor girl will take my place. I can only hope that she is stronger than me, Because a life is a sad thing to waste. © 2010 Julia HollywoodAuthor's Note
