Here Lies LoveA Poem by Holly Von DarlingWritten July 6th 2006.Here Lies Love. November 24th 2004 - June 13th 2005 Slowly I will fall, Each breath a waste of air Each thought a waste of mind. Always I will remember, And nightmares will scream at me And tears will drown me. You will use me. Take the heart upon my sleeve And keep it. You will use my desires and drive me to lust. And be empty. You’ll turn cold and lie. You will be my every thought. And I will gravitate to your every will. I will have no choice. You’ll bury me in the dark. Not before you place your hand Over my mouth. You will kill me. You’ll cut my wrists. And be the blood that drips endlessly from them. You’ll suffocate me. And be the lost air that asphyxiates me. You’ll be the reflection I stare at. And hate. And you’ll be the lies falling from my mouth. The sky that crashes down The darkness of my closing eyes You’ll be my death. Slowly I will rot and disintegrate, You’ll be sorry. They’ll all be so sorry. You will become the prayers said for me. The ashes, the dust. And slowly I will fade away. And you’ll love me once again. © 2011 Holly Von Darling |
