THE NEW DAWN

THE NEW DAWN

A Poem by Holly
"

about a lover who was lost but then found by their soulmate.

"
AS I SIT, WAITING FOR THE DAWN TO RETURN
ME MIND WANDERS AIMLESSLY THROUGH THE MIST
THOUGHTS OF YOU AND ME TOGETHER AGAIN

MANY LIFETIMES HAVE PASSED
SINCE WE SAW EACH OTHER LAST
I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE I CAN TAKE
UNTIL THE DAWN OF THE NEW DAY WAKES

THE STORM GROWS STRONGER
ME WILLPOWER WEAKER
NIGHT IS FULL OF DARKNESS
AND DAY IS FULL OF LIGHT

NOW I REMEMBER
YOU ARE THE DAWN OF THE NEW DAY
THE BRINGER OF ME LIGHT
YOU ARE THE DAWN OF A NEW LIFE
