Vincent the Vampire

"

Vincent was a vampire who would often snigger

At the mess his friends made while eating their dinner

The best vampire by far, he’d quite often boast

“It only takes ones bite- two at the most.”

On Monday a Knight a tall, strong proud man

Took one look at our little Vincent and ran

Vincent just laughed and chased down the knight

And finished him off with one single bite

On Tuesday a man thinking of his wife

Had said “Who are you, monster to steal my life?”

He replied “Vincent” The man screamed out “Price?”

“What? “Vincent muttered then shrugged and bit twice

On Wednesday Vincent surprised a man

Who’d been hunting for something- a stake in his hand

He laughed rather cruelly, his face full of glee

And took not one bite, not two bites but three

On Thursday a man Vincent had once knew

A cruel man, spiteful and mean through and through

Vincent called out his name and he opened the door

And because he struggled this time it took four

Friday the old man who Vincent had picked

Turned out to be clever and awfully quick

The chase took all night, but not escaping alive

Vincent caught him, quite mad and made sure it took five

That weekend he lay in his crypt, nice and quiet

And thought what he’d gone through for his liquid diet

The last few days had proved rather unique

And he said with a smile “What a rather strange week.”
