TimmyA Poem by HollyTimmy the skeleton KingOne day Timmy went to town with
his mum and dad Although he was a friendly child,
he was sometimes…bad When they reached the edge of
town They came across a friendly clown But when he tried to say hello Timmy jumped onto his toes And punched him on his bright red
nose Before long the clown got mad And ate poor Timmy’s Mum and Dad Afraid of being all alone Timmy saved his parent’s bones The kneecaps, skulls and the
hipbones People laughed and called him weird When he cried the children
cheered They’d always shriek and call him
freak And throw eggs at him twice a
week But life went on the same as ever They went everywhere together When they went to the food Mart He’d push them in the shopping
cart But before long they fell apart And Timmy needed some spare parts Timmy went to the graveyard While his Mum and Dad kept guard He quickly dug some old bones up But found that he was out of luck The bones were older than he’d
planned And broke and crumbled in his
hands. While he sat and pondered what to
do He found the hate just grew and
grew Towards the people in the town Who laughed at him and bought him down When it came to him at last It hit him hard, and hit him fast He almost jumped up from his seat He just needed-fresher meat He finished off that little town He even got the scary clown Then there was none to laugh at
him In that little town so grim Alone in his skeleton town Timmy wears the bony crown His sanity would not sustain So in his little town so strange Timmy became quite deranged. © 2010 Holly |
