Homicide

Homicide

A Poem by Holly O'Brien

Would it be homicide…

If I died because of you?

For every morning to wake up

Without you here

I go through day wondering

If you truly cared

Because I loved you like none other

I became fearless for you

And now you say I am selfish

When I did all that I could do

I think it would be homicide…

If I died because of you.

You’ve taken my joy

By shutting me away

And now I have nothing

So in death I’d rather lay

It was quite the scandal

It was my murder scene

To have lived in love before

Losing the woman of my dreams

aw, damn...
And now you say I am selfish
When I did all that I could do --- women! So hasty to point a finger and I always wonder, Does she know that she's killing me? Perfectly voiced...Great write!
