Contemplating

Contemplating

A Poem by Holly O'Brien

The days pass like numbers
on a broken slate

Two times a name
and four times a person
In an instant
it's at large

Pale moonlight
gives it a small break
No time for winter though
and no time for rain

Just believing is difficult
and my heart is racing with problems

Two shades times darkness
Four shades to lightning
My life was at its end...

Author's Note

Holly O'Brien
Looking back on this I wish I could say what was on my mind, but the truth is, I have no idea lol

Ok wait a minute...I think this is describing my frustration with the cycle of life...it's like everything happens over and over, same situations, similar people...nothing in life is new for very long. And of course it ends in death. I guess I was pretty frustrated.
