Time Or Lack ThereofA Poem by HollisAnn Harrison
"Smoking with a magus", she types the title into her computer.
[Date: June -- 201- Time: 12:-- -.M. GMT Subject: "Smoking with a magus" Post: I am elated, ecstatic, erratically emotionally involved In the world as we know it The future's been solved...] "No, she thinks, "That's not it..." [I am elated, ecstatic The world's in disbelief My world is ever-changing, ever-growing It gives them joy, it gives them grief] "Ugh", she erases the last two lines. "This isn't it either..." Her friend knocks on the door. "How's it going," he asks. "I'm trying to write a song," she replies, "but I can't think of the right words to use." She sat down as he stated, "Well, why not consider some tea and incense? I recommend eucalyptus with peppermint as well as Dragon's Blood." He lights the stick of incense and hands her a hot cup of tea. She accepts it with a kiss and a blush, and moves on. Soon the aromas and the smoke and the steam streamed up her nostrils, and she became calm. She focused on her dreams, her muse, and her imagination to write these words: {In the halls of Time, or Lack Thereof Now I've seen sweet Heav'n Above Shining down from sweetest grace We hold our souls with deepest praise We summon our will, muster our core Burn deep inside, we're wanting more In the Halls of TOLT we see It's always been just you and me. Our Light shines Bright through the Night Our Light shines Brighter than Heaven tonight We've got something a little more wicked on our side Our Light shines Brighter than Heaven tonight Our Love from Above brings hell below In the Halls of Time, I'll never know We've got it all and nothing and anon Hear the glory of those holy cannons! Our Light shines Bright through the Night Our Light shines Brighter than Heaven tonight We've gone and found a more wicked side Our Light shines Brighter than Heaven tonight Take it from me You will see Those feathery wings are all we see in shadows Take it from me You will See Now's the moment of yesterday, tomorrow's passing fast so... Our Light shines Bright through the Night Our Light shines Brighter than Heaven tonight We've got something a little more wicked on our side Our Light shines Brighter than Heaven tonight.] © 2014 HollisAnn Harrison |
