The GhostsA Poem by HollisAnn HarrisonDedicated to old friends.
Leave the ghosts alone
They'll grow cold, turn you to stone Leave the ghosts alone They cry for blood Human, fly away You need not die this day Leave the ghosts alone They cry out for your soul I don't know if you can hear me, whispers Shadows of the past But I see you in my dreams and nightmares of the times I wish would last I don't know if you remember All the joy I found in you But it's time that I surrender To the sky and find love true (Repeat All) I don't want To leave you now It's too late But still, somehow I wish you were here Guiding me home Knowing that you want To swallow me whole Fly, spirits, fly Into the darkest sky Until the day we die I'll leave the ghosts alone... © 2013 HollisAnn HarrisonAuthor's Note
