Where did it go?

As the years begin to gain
I wonder where did the time go?
As I start to become mature
I wonder how was I so dumb?
As I begin to lose friends
I wonder how did I ever trust them?

When seconds become minutes
Minutes to hours
Hours to days
Day then turn into months
And months finally turns into years
I wonder where did my life go?

I've heard it said many times
"Live as you would die tomorrow"
I never took it literally though
But now I'm here
Looking back on the past
Living in a world full of regret
