Where Life Takes you Is What Counts

Where Life Takes you Is What Counts

A Poem by John

It was white in all directions beneath the trees

Where green leafs touched the sky and breezes blew

Before the temperatures dropped before the freeze

The blizzard howled for its day and left it all new

He wanted to take to a snowbank over his head

It held him because the snow was just packed enough

Then he broke through and thrashed about not moving not dead

But it was clear he meant it and that it was not a bluff

He opened his eyes and it was darkest black

And cold in every part of his body there

But when he could stand it no more it was had he went back

There was light and people walked most everywhere

God was there and he was changed and heavenly so with joy

They chatted and he played with him no little boy.

Author's Note

John
It could never happen. If he actually wanted to die. They wanted him dead. God gives to you what you really want. John orders you: Never want to die unless you are so evil you will never be anything else.
