Everything is Beautiful Even Posies

Everything is Beautiful Even Posies

A Poem by John

She was as lovely as a rose and thought

'I might be a rose? Who knows? My own self I cannot see,'

What do I look like to you as good as not?"

“You roses look like polar bears to me.

You are all white and stand so proud and you demean

The rest of us and they always look at you

Never once do they give us a glance until you they've seen

It is true, it really is true but what am I?” “Blue

And so beautiful it dazzles my eyes to a squint

But you grow so near the earth is there something wrong?”

“No one day the lovers will all take you in your glint

And you will light up a room as if you're a love song

And we posies will last in the yard until nothing but brown

As no one notices as they walk by on their way to town.
