'To Cover'

'To Cover'

A Poem by brian
"

We always question our 'mortality'. Then, as we come face-to-face with Love, nothing else matters. When we taste true love, we sacrifice everything for it, and dig deeper than we ever knew we could.

"
What are the waves I see
By the icy sea?
Another flood has poured into me
I see a storm..as the stars,
They all fall from the sky
Still, lovers lie...
When we were young we told a truth
Before we knew how to fly
There is a diver in every sea
For every dreamer who needs to dream
To survive..
When we were young
We blew our brains out
As we tried to open up
There is a fight, a little fight left in me
I am only in this to win it, to win...
And if I don't win, please bury me
In the back of Her cemetery
"Kill a man and save a tree,"
Is what I heard old witches scream
..sounded more like a screech to me
Still witches are more or less human too
In the wake of the fire that rages on
I know how to think while still in line,
If I'm just a number..I still got peace of mind
Cover me...
I don't want to get out of here alive
But I know all my loved ones won't be here forever.. Like a grieving heart,
I still grieve for you...

Even tho your writing in this piece is imaginative & full of interesting analogies, as a whole, I find it a little mixed up . . . not exactly a straight path or an impactful point that one can follow. Lots of people write this way, so it's not a bad thing, just not my preference. I'm more into a focused message where people don't have to guess what I'm referring to. I'm sure there will be many who enjoy your style.
