28 Years and More to Come

28 Years and More to Come

A Poem by Rafif
"

It has been seven years since my last post here. I went through what I wrote as a teenager and it encouraged me to have a go at it again. I have so many words, thoughts and feelings to paint here.

"

It has been decades

and there they are-

existing still.

Oh, the rollercoasters.

Twenty-eight years of clutching onto the ground.

Only to be devoured by

the earth, sky and all else in between,

time and time again.

Who are you?

“I am you,” they say.

Their voices so loud,

deafening our existence.

Perhaps if they were calmer?

Would they muddle through?

Would we be one?

Until this time,

the time to come

and the last time.

It seems like the rollercoasters is talking. (personification) Perhaps reflecting a human's existence - the trials and the events of life. Almost like a guy who is hyperactive and is speaking from a wild past.

Interesting.
