The BeggarA Poem by Hiroshi Masters
The beggar
You stare at me in streets, I begged food on my plate Stomache is empty and pain I smiled but deep inside I am left with a frown, My life mean nothing to you I begged you for a penny A bread to end my hunger People ignored and Judge me I look like garbage to you, If only you knew I chosed You will understand why, I commited a serious sin I was sexually abused Someone who beaten me, My child would questioned, Why they have everything An education and knowlege, All the clothes and materials But we're filthy and a nobody, I see no future for us I told him, "Child, don't look and appreciate all we have" Child looked up and smiled, Her mother tears trickles When life filled with misery She ask forgiveness She asked piece of bread, She have little on her plate She needs place to live Instead lie on the dirty ground, She was left isolated A poor beggar on the street, She look peak into window She watches family together Deep down dies inside. When she pleaded merciness Fell to the ground and started to cry, World continues to ignore, She continues to be humble Never want to doubt herself People are quick to judged? One day hopes and dreams Will bring back her life again © 2015 Hiroshi MastersReviews
