SpringA Poem by Kathryn ElizabethSpring is such a lovely season, with mild temperatures and blossoming beauty. So, why not write a poem to cherish it?Spring
Your soft touch carresses my skin, As I feel a gentle breeze. Your mild tempuratures and beauty, Are such a lovely tease.
I am content in your season, But I know your end is near. To softly fade away, And return another year.
Soon you will be overcome, By the harsh heat of summer. Which is much like being ill, With a constant, heated fever.
It will break your fragile stitches, That you worked so hard to weave, And as you begin to fade, I'll beg you not to leave.
But my pleads will be in vain, As summer comes anyway, But I know that just like you, It will soon go away.
So for now I will savor, Your colors, flowers, bees, honey, animals, fruits, and of course your blooming trees.
And then patiently await, For you to soon return. For spring is the season That my heart truly yearns.
