Good Morning Prayer

Good Morning Prayer

A Poem by Life Inside Death

Close your eyes
The sun can't reach you there
Confess your lies
Fall down and say a prayer
Your world is breaking apart
It's ripping your heart
But say grace, and wipe those tears away
Sunday is a brighter day

I closed my eyes
The sun couldn't find me there
I raised my hands
And asked God if he cared
Down on my knees
I felt the flow of the breeze through my hair
As I said my good morning prayer
Please try to reach me there
