Blindfolded

Blindfolded

A Poem by Life Inside Death

Turn your head now
Don't look at the world
that we've created
Hollow minds can't heed
the tales related
To us
Finding truth in
what became a lie
that made you cry
And how long could a vision last?

I never believed in wishing stars
So maybe that's why
I couldn't get that far:
Where you are
Being who I am
It's hard for me
To hold on so loosely
Fearing that your slip
will make me fall
Into the wall
Crashing through the barrier
that protects us all.

I'm blindfolded
I won't see where I'm going
Maybe on doomsday
The world will change
When everyone sees the light.

This is really pretty. I love the different visuals you use to convey one continued point. They all add up to the perfect feeling that explains all that... helplessness, I guess you could say.

Job well done. This is wonderful.
