![]() Unknown JesusA Poem by Life Inside Death
Looking down on you All I can do is smile When you’re happy, I’m happy Even just for a while
But watching you From this cross built in the sky I can’t help but wonder Why did I have to die?
To be so attached to someone It was so surreal To think I’d sacrifice myself Because of what others feel
And until I died You never knew I cared The whole time I protected you I did what no one dared
And so I’m hanging… This crucifix pins me To the days where I used to laugh The days I used to cry
You’re nothing but a dream now A dream I’ll never wake up from And as my hands bleed for your happiness I stay looking at you, hoping you noticed me
Even if you had no God I’m the one you can call a “savior” I’ll be the one who drags you Back into the light I’m your destiny I’m the Unknown Jesus. © 2008 Life Inside DeathAuthor's Note
