Phoenix Calls

Phoenix Calls

A Poem by Jen Ro

A fallen spirit,
Spiraling into the earth.
Forgetting all desire and power.
A lost soul wandering into an empty abyss.

The pain is real,
The fire is still,
The Light dulls.
The Phoenix calls

It struggles now,
all alone in ash.
Against death and doubt,
But underneath the ash the Phoenix sings out.

The Phoenix will soar again
Over the seas of pain and uncertainty,
To spread her embers of diversity.
For no Phoenix can be told,
This is the end of her song.
