Why weren't you here

Why weren't you here

A Poem by Jen Ro

I'm sad and lonely deep within.
Yet, on my face,
there's a smile.
A smile so very fake,
A mask amongst the shadows.
I can't hide the smile no more
I break like a falling tree.
The tears flood my lonely eyes,
as my lonely eyes weep, I call her name.
Will she come running?
No she wouldn't.
Will she hear my screams?
No She couldn't.
I fall to my knees, my hands bloody and bare for all to see,
Why oh why weren't you here, when my smile turned to a frown?

There seams to be a few things that need tweaking but I can feel the heartbreak and emotion poured into this and that is something not everyone is able to do
