Anguish of Life

Anguish of Life

A Poem by Jen Ro

I can feel the anguish,
raging through me.
Tears at my feet
creeping into my lost  soul.
Life at times,
is so sad and painfully bad.
There is hatred,
consuming all in sight.
Cruel beings attack those,
who want to live in happiness.
Their lives are demolished,
in the blink of an eye.
With acts of such blind hatred and horror,
that it cripples us.
A life so insane,
which would even make the strongest man cry.
Slowly the days become darker,
the nights become longer.
This life is heavy on the mind,
weighing down on any hope that is left.
Crushing the light until it dies.
And when that final step is taken
the life inside us melts away into nothing but sin.
