A Drop of Water.

Bored again! :P

A drop of water falls on the ground and I stop.
I look up, more fall.
The rain treads on every path I have yet to take.
I look down. The ground wet, being beaten by water.
Thunder roars, scaring me out of my place.
I look up, say thank you, and start to walk again.

I like it. When I read it through the first time the first thing I thought was "cute". It's short and sweet, with a nice even rhythm and good imagery. When I read it through the second time I saw how much deeply it could be interpreted. Very beautiful poem, well written. Keep it up!

An interesting and evocative piece with depth. That rain-sodden road...whichever one you take...will have thunderstorms some days. Very true. A nice-reworking of a classic symbol.
