Speechless

How I feel currently about myself.

Dear self,

Don't you already realize what you are?

Worthless.

Underweight.

Depressed.

Not beautiful enough.

Not good enough. 

Not a good enough friend for those who have left you alone. 

Isolated.

Alone.

Sorrowful.

Sobbing.

Miserable.

True emotions cowardly hide behind a mask.

Sad. These feelings resonate in thousands of others looking for a light that they just can't find. I hope that through writing you can find that light and not delve deeper into loneliness. A well written work however.

I have read your poem Jennifer and in it I saw a part of myself I used to be. You can see it in "The Letter".

I overcame those dark feelings by making a list of them all - as defined by the dictionary, then stood before a mirror and out loud I accepted each one of them. When I was done I realized that I had empowered myself by taking away peoples power to hurt me.
