          When you close your eyes,

Slipping slowly into soft slumber,

          Is there a moment in time,

You’re too timid to remember?

          With the moon spying carefully,

Every secrets’ thought,

          Do you give into the feelings,

You’d rather not?

          At the end of the eve,

Long after sweet twilight’s embrace,

          Do you wake in the morn,

Only to forget my face?
