What have we done?

You took so long to make us happy,

but when I need it, you vanish.

You gave us hope for the future,

when we wanted to forget the past.

You helped us fix things,

when we were in trouble as kids.

You helped push us to get to class,

when we were off being stupid.

You helped us grow closer as you went by,

it was still too late.

Seconds it took to know I loved her.

Minuets it took us to finally talk to each other.

Hours we spent on the phone in love. 

Days we spent being happy.

Years we were together.

Time was always there

You were there when we fought,

constantly watching us part.

You were there to break her heart,

and take trust away

You were there to save us more than once,

 yet dissipated when I needed to think.

You were there when she broke my heart

and gave her time to believe she was right.

You were there to let me cheat,

You were there to let her leave

Where are you now?

Years we were together

Days we tried to go back and be happy

Hours we spent being with each others lies

Minuets it took for us to realize the truth

Seconds it took us to let our love fade

Time was always there

Time has been spent and has changed us

Time has been spent and separated us

Time was never taken from us

Time was never wasted by us

It was there the whole time

We just believed time could fix us

When time was our demise.
