Once again I have failed
I let myself go

Put down all my beliefs
All my self- respect and morals

A few nice words
And a kiss on the lips

My guard fell short
And my head began to spin

Reality

“You deserve better than this”


Temptation

“ But it feels so good”


Ignoring the reality in the situation
I let temptation take control

With each kiss, my eyes squeezed to hold
Back the burning tears.

I have yet failed again
