A Blight of InsectsA Poem by HiddenKnivesPestilence draws near
It vibrates the air as it passes
draws breath from the lack of space a drop from the void out of place as it grows steadily near Black, it shimmers in the night a white stripe and a million eyes wings like steel, it hovers there staring with it's unknowing eyes It fears and knows nothing not blind, but without mind cares not for other consciousness it only knows to feed, consume An insect of this magnitude the dark leader of the pack followed by it's insane army doesn't hesitate, doesn't look back It does not rip the flesh from the skin consumes it's victims whole it's pack devours scraps and land a wasteland left behind Insects that sting and tear organics all run in fear pestilence has finally come to cleanse the land of life © 2012 HiddenKnives |
