Lost in a Park of the Mind

Lost in a Park of the Mind

A Poem by HiddenKnives
"

A view of taking the wrong path

"
He walks a well worn path
traveled by many before

At every fork in the road
he committedly chooses left

Always going alone
ignoring the red eyes in the trees

Over glass and through the thorns
cut like a knife
from mind to soul

Wandered off the path
and never found it again

Locked in the rotting woods
shedding no tear for himself

Starved of sight n numb to touch
abhorrent of his choices made

But now he knows the truth
understands the path he never took

Strayed too far from the main road
of all the others' choice

So now he knows that he is safe
finally locked away from everyone else
