My Legacy

"

What I want to be remembered for

"
In a funeral there is always a little program for the service.  On the front of this program there is your name, your time of birth a dash and your time of death.  That dash is your whole life.  It is every single one of your accomplishments your failures, your love stories, heartbreaks, every human experience that you have ever had.  How you live from birth until death is how your friends and family and teachers and employers and co-workers and everyone you have ever met will remember you;your legacy.  Your legacy is up to you.  This is how I want to be remembered.
First of all no matter how corny or cliche it may sound I want to be the best person that  I can be.  I want to be someone who embraced personhood, good and bad.  Someone who had real problems and issues, experienced life to the fullest, choosing optimism over pessimism yet still having a sense of reality. I want people to look back on my life and see that I wasn't anywhere near perfect but I was a genuinely good person with morals and who values their family and friends.  I want to be someone who always embraced their personality and lived being unapologetically myself. People will know that while I was alive I didn't waste time with fake friends and people who didn't really care.  My life was like a playlist blocking out all those irrelevant people who cannot be bothered to care about anyone but themselves.  My life will have been filled with parties and friends and family.  My children will have had a childhood full of togetherness and people looking out for them wherever they went.  They will have been surrounded by caring good people that are open and honest and caring and trustworthy.  They will have memories of singing over a campfire, reading books, watching movies, hiking, fishing, writing, cooking, and just having a good time enjoying the people that care about them and just experiencing a good healthy and genuinely happy life and then passing it down to generations to come.  I want to be that person that anyone can talk to and trust and love.  I want to teach my future children that you don't need things, or people to be happy true happiness comes with love even if it is loving yourself.  I will also teach them that passion is the key to life, that finding something you are passionate about and running with it can never lead you wrong.  I will be known as a wildcard a crazy an insanely hilarious, ironic, intelligent woman that made the best out of every situation, failed but overcame.  I will be remembered most importantly as a  humanoid that did personhood like a boss.  What will your legacy be?
