"This Game"

"This Game"

A Poem by HeyUmmWhat

I get ready to play this game again,

never knowing when it will end.

My heart contains so many feelings,

But never more will they display.

This game doesn’t show the compactions we once had.

Our road was once hard,

But with more practice our skill grew.

The difficult and impossible,

Either way we made it through.

If only we knew that this was just a game.

Our bodies were getting tired,

From all the stress we took.

Our hands became apart,

From the one thing that once had a spark.

If only we had the will power to hit it off once again.

Maybe we got so high off the ground,

That made us fall so fast.

The feelings just took off,

And I never thought they could last.

This game we play isn’t for fun,

Its seems more like a chore.

Maybe we went to fast,

And we ended it at the floor.

The one time I fell during this game,

Is the one time I never saw you move.

If you would of caught me then this would be of love.
