Teeter Totter

Teeter Totter

A Poem by hmhayden

Lopsided at best.
This teeter tot tango
with hearts at odds.
Who is the more?
Who is the less?
The players change,
the field the same.
Flip flopping of roles.
tit for tat...
back and forth...
All feels the same.
In the end,
whether short
or long,
Exhausting and familiar.
The pattern remains.

The common 'player' despite the field of play in all relationships is self. Well versed.
