That Shift

That Shift

A Poem by hmhayden

Standing on solid
frozen ground.
Feet planted firm and steady.
That shift...
Can you feel it?

Warning, tremors
tiny at first.
Rattle from the inside out.
Can you hear it?

A knowing,
deep within.
Consciousness evolving.
Can you see it?

Fresh, rich soil erupts.
Ripe for the planting.
That shift...
Can you smell it?

Clarity unfolds
like the sweet and spicy
petals of lavender blossoms.
Can you taste it?
