To My New Love...

To My New Love...

A Poem by Robert Tusitala O'Neill
"

This is somewhat self-explanatory.

"
Learning to love you
As we walk hand in hand
I'm rewarded by everything
I've come to understand

I feel made to enfold you
As your eyes proffer your soul
In every way so enticing
But I must learn to lose control

Feeling so weightless
It's easy to grasp at thin air
You can work yourself to frenzy
Worrying how someone might care

When the truth is
It's only YOUR OWN feelings
You need to understand
Not your love's revealings

Honesty is honestly
All you have to share
For you can never love something
Of which you're unaware

I loved the above (last) stanza, you really hit the jackpot with this one. Your little dream has become reality and it's all happening. A beautiful, heart touching piece that can be dedicated to anyone's love. (: Really loved this one.

' Honesty is honestly ~ All you have to share ~ For you can never love something ~ Of which you're unaware' ... in that last stanza you state your dream come true. Sweet words laid so well; personal, yes, yet another person less able to write might feel just like you and, poet, you've generously left a gift.. kindness and love remains in a finely wrapped packet of words.

This is a very sweet ode for the man or woman who has your heart. My one suggestion is in regards to the line " I feel made to enfold you". "I'm made to enfold you" shows a lot more conviction. Alternatively, "I've been made to enfold you" exudes a sense of purpose and suggests a lack of control over the overwhelming emotions
