A Dream Alone

A Dream Alone

A Poem by Robert Tusitala O'Neill
"

Written while in love, in 2009...

"
A dream alone
That's all we have
A dream we share
Between us two

Fragile, frail hopes and dreams
Live off joy and dedication
Starving without sustenance of devoir
When glutted full it radiates bliss

Once I had hope
Now I have happiness
Where once I dreamed
I am now devout

Fantasies becoming ecstasies
Reveries transformed to realities
I borrow dreams to pay with interest
The dreams I'd lost, I've found anew

A dream we have
Shared twixt us two
But if we both feel it
It's real as me and you

Between, and inside this dream, there is so much more space, raw, unnoticed, but so noticed, if you get what I intend with that there ;-)

When there is pure love, the sun shines, radiates, a way, a path of love, there has never been seen by two mad people, who feel it, (in love). It's a lonely but gorgeous path.... if you are not afraid of it, it can lead you to real highways, of freedom, and pleasures of richness. "That's happiness".
To find yourself anew, through the nerves, and light of another, is artwork, (think of it) as artwork... my friend, there is hope, in every single vein, of a new beginning.... a current, that shall collide, or hide, or spread itself into a larger meaning, a sea of health, and happiness, I think with this true hearthfelt write, of your past you will climb your well deserved future. As a shaman. Richer, higher, more aware.
What was real, is real still, it's your map, your hidden map, that will guide you, (reffering back to the vein-part). And always look upon the universe, and find the mathematical way. A great write, of the past, into your now.

P.s. I don't think it's a dream, "persee Alone" but more of two entities, together....
But, I love that tilte though, because, it says, there is an great assimilation.

Cheers on you friend, and your writings.

This definitely is a poem while you were in love. Hopefully you have or will find it again, if you are looking for it.

I know these feelings well. I am going through them all right now with my special someone.

Dreams are a breath of life. This is a piece so full of hope and optimism. I like the line "I borrow dreams to pay with interest." To me, this shows how valuable a dream is. Bittersweet where you speak of finding new dreams after you lost some before. I like how the opening has the same line count as the closing set. This is a positive piece and uplifting to the spirit.

You sound like me with tinkering with poems. I believe no poem is ever complete. Enjoyed reading.
Gee, I'm honored. I'm the first one to jump on this one. I truly enjoyed the advancement of success of what was wanted and what was gained. It's romantic of course and it was a strum of a harp to my heart. Thank you for giving us such beauty.
