Trapped Between Your Arms

Trapped Between Your Arms

A Poem by Robert Tusitala O'Neill
"

This was literally snippets of a conversation I had with my ex girlfriend. The seemed to be flowing out with such rapidity I had to get them down before I forgot any!!

"
"You're the one that trapped me between your arms!" she falsely glowered with mock upset..."Even if I wanted to, you know I couldn't leave!"
"You just don't know what to do with my love for you," she sighed.

"I live in the eternal now," he said, "if you are true then be so, and I will witness...but no more talk!  -Words are phony paradoxes that beg the question why each thought couldn't best be understood silently."
"Words are for other people less in tune with each other than we," he spoke straight into her eyes...

"So many people's love is exaggerated for unnecessary effect, blown out of proportion, we speak a subtler tongue."

"I'm not going anywhere, my darling!"

"Then I will be here to keep you company for as long as we both shall have!"
