I still love you
I won't condescend to the truth of that I won't break down my love with a wrecking ball Not when I built this spire to Heaven so honestly The years of my best work, delicately joined With such care, each finial set firmly in stone Rock solid foundation, where I encased my feet in cement As you topple your statues of me Dragging them through the street I am looking at the buttresses and arches Which supported all our love I can't break the keystone I can't bring myself to destroy I still love you © 2013 Robert Tusitala O'NeillAuthor's Note
