PrologueA Chapter by HesterI'd done it again. The blood spread like spilt wine across the carpet, it wasn't going to be easy to clean this time. He wasn't dead yet, not exactly, I could still see the slight twitches of his meaty fingers as he aimlessly grasped for what sort of life he had left. His breaths still laboured as he tried to pull together the raspy words he wanted me to hear. But I didn't want to hear. I'd heard it all before. You'll regret it, you had so much potential, they should've killed you when they killed the others, or best of all, b***h. It was always the same, whether it was good or bad, they all think they know me, but nobody does. I looked at the mans pained expression once again, he was refusing to die, I hated when they did that. I sighed, better get it over and done with. I stood, looking directly at his beady eyes, I could sense his fear, as attempted to move himself away from me, away from his fate. His whimper, which would have once sparked remorse in me, only made me stronger now. "Look at me," my voice was cold, emotionless, but his head turned to the sound of it, "look into my eyes." His head continued to turn towards me his eyes pulled to the power of mine. Then his eyes connected with mine. I saw everything, his life, his betrayals, his wrongs, his rights. But I ignored it, and I saw the fire reflect in his eyes, and it all began to fade, I saw the shadow of the monster that I am dancing in that fire, his mouth opened as he realised what was happening, and I watched as a silent scream fell from his lips, and his body went limp. He was dead. His soul now one of mine, to do with as I pleased. So I sent it to hell, to be with everyone else before him.
