IF I KNEW

IF I KNEW

A Poem by Hessy

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE I GO
MY HEART WILL ALWAYS BE UTTERING YOUR NAME
I'VE TRIED SO HARD TO MOVE ON
BUT ALL I GET IS PAIN
PAIN FOR REJECTING ME

IT'S LIKE MY HEART AND I ARE DIFFERENT THINGS
FIGHTING FOR THE ONE THING WE LOVE YET IT'S THE ONE THING THAT BRINGS PAIN TO US

IF I KNEW NOT EVERY LOVE STORY HAS A HAPPILY EVER AFTER
AND HEARTBREAK HURTS LIKE MAD AND ALWAYS LEAVES A MARK
THEN I WOULD SURELY NOT HAVE ACCEPTED YOUR LOVE
I WOULD HAVE BEEN AT A LOSE BUT ATLEAST I WOULDN'T FEEL SO HELPLESS
A FOOL MADE OUT OF HEARTBREAK
