The Will

The Will

A Poem by Austin Blay
"

I pray that your will to endure survives.

"
Oh heart leave them be
Holding in the pain I wait
Taking a breath to freedom
The will to live dies

Oh mind ease the ache
That hate has left behind
Traverse the coldest feelings
The will to endure unwinds

Oh soul save a space
Resting on clouds of anger
Only to relive the memory
The will to change fades

The will to carry on
Such a fragile idea
