Heart Gone

Heart Gone

A Poem by DeMorney
"

anti-love....

"

Give up sweetie.

It’s no use, this heart’s too tattered and torn.

So stop trying to mend me.

Put away your needle and thread, the gashes

Are too wide.

Misguided soul, as beautiful and luminous

As it may be, you can’t even shed a pinpoint of light

In the vast darkness of the prison I’m in/

Been broken, lead blindly, and fell head-over-heels,

But hit the rocks at the bottom.

I suffer from fractured reason, so don’t push yours on mine.

Just walk away now and you’ll only suffer a little.

I’m not worth your kind person being turned bitter.

Though it was nice meeting you.

I especially liked the last two lines, they wrapped it up nicely. It was very aggressive in pushing away whoever "sweetie" is, for their own good, and I really enjoyed being able to get that out of this piece.

quite expressive (in a positive way) I'm sure that there's some people out there who can relate to this
