Seasons Of My LoveA Poem by DeMorneyI sang to him, looked at me. Snow falling all around us. He took my face in his hands, And whispered, "Hail to thee my Snow White Queen." Entwined neath gray sky, Entangled in the snow, we keep each other warm. Snowy winter turned to warm spring. Hand in hand with my love we stood and watched the horizon. Little did we know that the falling sun represented our future. Rainy days had us inside wrapped in each other undercover With soft candlelight not reaching darker parts only we could see. Summer brought us need for cooling down in the ocean clear. Sand stuck to wet skin that the sun darkens, I’m still his Snow White Queen. Though the season brought heat, the soft, cold winter love was still eminent. Fall swirled in color as tress died gracefully. The weather bringing in the cool winds that flied the leaves like kites. Red was the color of this time, the very same as his sheets that Were silk on my skin. The smell of cider chilling was near the bed, with your soft words in my Ears. A bountiful harvest of our own. Winter, our season, came round again. This time a kiss of final goodbye. Cruel winter sicknesses took him away. My frail lover lies cold and still, away from my warmth, But never my love. © 2008 DeMorneyAuthor's Note
