Nothing is more painful than rejection!!

Nothing is more painful than rejection!!

A Poem by Dr Sharmila Parajuli
"

Whether the rejection we experience is large or small, one thing remains constant — it always hurts, and it usually hurts more than we expect it to.

"
Someone asked me If I have ever faced rejection
I smiled at her and told, " Is that even a question?"

When I was a kid and as a "middle child"; I yearned so much for my parents affection
But, I could sense nothing more than just their "shallow attention"

Trying to "fit in" my friends circle was even more challenging
I had to completely change my likes and dislikes and it was emotionally very draining

Only those who have gone through can realize how miserable it is to be in one-sided love
And, finally when you acquire guts to propose and get rejected instantly, the sentiments come to shove

Sometimes, the deepest wounds and rejections are inflicted by people who are closest to us
We fear at the loss of people around us and they take us for granted; so we must learn to be cautious

Even when you work with full honesty and integrity in the workplace
It is very disheartening seeing that people who play dirty politics seem to win the race

Sibling rivalry or conflict is another sensitive issue in today's modern world
Don't know why every single person tend to drift apart after their purpose is served

Oh; " You are so lucky" , "You have a very supportive husband" said somebody
How people behave in public and private can be totally different and this need to be understood by everybody

Constantly forced to move on with a push trying to escape the pain, agony and dejection
"Truth be told"; nothing hurts more than heartbreak and rejection
