A simple tale of drifting apart- who do you blame?A Poem by Dr Sharmila ParajuliStory of you and your sibling who had a very close relationship in childhood but drifted apart as time passedThe old home roof used to shelter more than dozens of people every single day Don't know what took the only siblings to walk separate way Their parents thought, except for death, no power could ever break them But today, even the news of the death of one could not make the over overwhelm Each one goes searching for pleasure in their own busy way But still, wins of everything in life could give nothing but bitterness and empty joy The parents choose or were forced to choose one of them not just as part of the game And, the other decided to move out of the field and vision with heart-wrenching pain One set of grandchildren find that living with the constantly nagging grandparents is nothing but a complete burden and messing The other set keep questioning god why they were devoid of their love and blessing Their "the-stick-together family" used to be an example of pride and motivation around the neighborhood Lately, some laughed, some joked and others made fun of the family ties and unhealthy brotherhood They both thought that each of them is right from his perception And, their egos didn't let them sit together, talk-it-out and clear the misconception While the majorities blamed the spouses as a reason of them drifting apart The extended families were pretty sure that the unfair parenting habits was the main reason for the clash and why one of them had to depart It is natural to have your own personal likes and dislikes in life Vision, mission and goals are totally different for everyone and this should not be a reason of the rife All I can say is that vibes really do speak louder than words And, parents should not think of one as a golden child and one a scapegoat as both need to be equally heard
