Divorce- Moving on to being Non-Judgemental

Divorce- Moving on to being Non-Judgemental

A Poem by Dr Sharmila Parajuli
"

The factors that are responsible for divorce are many and any pronouncing of a single issue or a particular direction is baseless and unprovable

"
Divorce is a two-way street, it takes two to tango
Not every single marriage is as sweet as mango

We all know that marriages don't crumble in a day
It's a slow descent into personal routines that keep getting in each other's way

Who are others to judge and comment on them getting divorced for "trivial" reasons
Unless you live in their home with their problems and issues; it is better not to make assumptions

Remember that the cause is always inside the triangle of his story, her story and the truth
Each case is separate and we should leave the rest to finalize it smooth

Some comment that the woman didn't fulfill her obligations as a wife
Others blame that male chauvinism was the rife

Sometimes, the gold-digger woman knows she has everything to gain by demanding it
And, sometimes the men have cheated, lied or broken vows which they admit

The factors that are responsible for divorce are indeed many
Marriage takes a lot of hard work and compromise besides any

We cannot judge unless we walk in his/her shoes
And, we don't need to try to solve the puzzle or pick up on subtle clues

Whatever might be the reason, it is tragedy on society's part and so much impact on the children
Both the parents need to keep their ego aside and commit to making healthy co-parenting their main mission

Each of them crave and deserve equal respect from the other
And, for the sake of the children try to be in cordial terms in the future
