The Boy With A Preacher's Face

The Boy With A Preacher's Face

A Poem by Hernan de la Mancha
"

Feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

"
"That's a fool's notion",
Said the boy I thought was young.
His age hidden by his fortune,
And his tongue encouraged by the rum.

"That boy's got the American infection",
Not a soul can stop what's on his mind.
Set forth to seek redemption,
Or so he says to save mankind.

"He's got a preacher's face",
So he might as well act like one.
With dreams to set the world ablaze,
He no longer wishes to be the promised son.

The book no longer shines as bright,
His eyes now dim each page.
His guilt no longer concerned with what is right,
As they deem him the wise little mage.
