An Early Midnight

An Early Midnight

A Poem by Hernan de la Mancha
"

Feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

"

A night out of many,

The whispers dare to sing.

A man without a penny,

And a lover who can’t be seen.

A leaf taunted by decay,

And its children growing old.

The tree follows by day,

Yet by night its story fully told.

I enjoyed this. I reread several times thinking of the meaning and I love work that makes me contemplate the authors feelings as they write. I especially like the line about "A leaf taunted by decay,
And its children growing old" It is original and interesting
