The Leap of FaithA Poem by Andrew R. C. BeckThis is a poem I created not too long ago as an entry piece into a poetry group which I am a member of on www.deviantart.com .
"Oh what it would be to have a life filled with glee"
thought the creature as he slept. So wondrous to shed all fear and worry in a place where gay can be kept. Alas, in the undergrowth of life he did see a small, yet noticeable crack. Maybe this was the start of something much bigger, yet if he stepped forward, he might not step back. "Damnation!" thought he as he sat in his nook, frustration patrolling his brow. "The smallest of creatures can erupt with gory! Well, maybe my time is now!" He picked himself up, crept forward in disbelief. The other side had beckoned. "This is my time, like the new-born spring leaf" thought he, as this path he reckoned. Forming a gallop, his vices did shed as the little creature wept. Here is a lesson that for all is well read. Throw your fear to the wind, like this creature that leapt. © 2012 Andrew R. C. BeckAuthor's Note
